Categories are assigned based on each subreddit's description, content focus, and community rules. You can browse the full category tree using the sidebar navigation on the homepage.

We run automated data syncs on a regular schedule to refresh subscriber counts, community descriptions, and subreddit statuses (active, private, or banned). The "Last updated" date displayed on the homepage shows the most recent sync. Trending scores are recalculated separately based on short-term subscriber growth patterns.

Use the search bar at the top of the homepage. As you type, results update to show matching subreddit names and descriptions. You can also combine search with the sort and subscriber range filters to narrow your results further. If you're looking for subreddits by theme, try browsing the category sidebar instead.

Bookmarks are stored entirely in your browser's local storage — nothing is sent to our servers. Click the bookmark icon on any subreddit card to save it. Access your saved list from the bookmark icon in the site header. Because bookmarks live in your browser, clearing your browser data or switching devices will reset them. We never track which subreddits you bookmark.

The trending sort ranks subreddits by their recent subscriber growth rate relative to their size. A smaller subreddit gaining subscribers quickly can rank higher than a large subreddit with slower growth. This is useful for discovering up-and-coming NSFW communities and newly popular Reddit content before they become mainstream.

Yes. The subscriber range filter on the homepage lets you narrow results to specific community sizes — from small, niche subreddits with a few hundred members to massive communities with millions of subscribers. This is helpful if you prefer highly active communities or want to explore smaller, more focused groups.

If Reddit has banned a community for policy violations, or if its moderators have restricted it to approved members only (private), we update the status in our directory. These subreddits remain listed for reference but may not be accessible when you click through to Reddit.
